You mean like John Wayne playing Genghis Khan in The Conqueror? It’s just now the opposite way. There’s actually quite a few times white people have been cast for Asian roles, and even won academy awards for the role! I do agree this isn’t the best casting choice, if something is historical, they should try and make accurate. But the fact that this hasn’t been the case when the role is reversed makes me less upset about it. This whole “Brendan Fraser isn’t fat enough” in the whale or “ you need a real disabled person to play Stephen hawking” is rediculous as well. It’s acting people!!
