Tripp Morris (‘29, AL) K’d three in three shutout innings. Projectable 6-2/145 frame. Loose arm out the glove that ran the FB up to 79. Threw a couple quality SLs with good depth that produced some whiffs. #13uNational @PG_DeepSouth

Still don’t understand how any college coach in the country is still waiting to commit him because he’s just going to keep performing and playing the game the right way and winning!

@InsightsCollege @nextlevelbb Been there and coached at schools that don’t have the funds. No disagreement from me but no shot at fair playing ground until baseball is a head count sport (even then NIL money wins). It’s an uphill battle that if more people don’t speak up, we won’t see change in our lifetime

Agree or disagree? IMO College baseball needs to do this-27 on the roster with 18 full scholarships, 6 partials. 24 scholarship players and 3 walk-ons make the team. 3 paid assistants and 2 grad student assistants. Grad assistants get free tuition, housing and meals.

@InsightsCollege @nextlevelbb The denominator could be adjusted to account for percentage of scholarship regardless of in or out of state as long as funds are available. Ex. In state costs 30k and out of state is 45k-both players getting 15k means one counts 50% and other counts 33%

Proud of what these guys do on the field but even more thankful for the impact they have off the field. @AlabamaBSB has treated my family well the last few years and these guys have been great influences and role models for my son

@nextlevelbb Only benefit I’ve ever seen is getting up to speed in the weight room so the Fall doesn’t break them down as a freshman but players play and disciplined guys can attack both at the same time

I've seen players skip playing the summer before entering college, because the college coach wanted them to take a class or two on campus to get acclimated. Usually, the coaches are off recruiting, and the returning players are away playing. I've heard very few, and I mean very few, say taking the summer off to take a class or two was worth it. Usually, the kids have a better chance to succeed in the classroom, taking freshman level classes, than they do competing on the field vs older players immediately. Stepping on campus as strong as the returning players and game ready is the key, if playing time as a freshman is high on the priority list.

This Saturday, I will be cycling 105 miles in Little Rock Arkansas for the Davis Heller Memorial Foundation. Davis was the best teammate and person I’ve ever known, which is why this cause is so close to my heart! Please consider donating/sharing! secure.squarespace.com/checkout/donat…
