A simple way to describe what's happening with the Yen right now: Imagine you’ve got a buddy in Japan who loans you lemons at rock-bottom prices because, in Japan, lemon prices are super low. You think, “Sweet deal! I’ll take those lemons and take them to Aus”. Next stop, Australia! Here, people are crazy for lemonade and willing to pay top dollar. Why? Because Australia’s lemon prices are much higher. You set up shop, making and selling lemonade for big bucks with your Japanese lemons. After raking in the cash from your lemonade sales in Australia, you pay back your friend in Japan and pocket the profits. Boom! That’s your gain from the carry trade. In the context of the Yen: All the JPY gets pumped into Aussie stocks and bonds where the return is much higher. Suddenly, interest rates change or even just the whisper of change sends shockwaves. Investors scramble to unwind their trades, pay back their yen, and close shop. It’s like your friend in Japan suddenly demands all his lemons back ASAP. This mad dash to unwind positions is what recently spooked the stock market. Interest rate jitters triggered a chain reaction, causing prices to nosedive.

Noticing a very dangerous trend happening with a lot of beginners in this space atm. Coming out of this dip, there is one narrative that is clearly out-performing everything else: Cats And instead of trying to make a play on cats to take advantage of the money + attention flowing into them... Many are putting their money into things that haven't done sh*t. Guys. Winners become winners for a reason. And in crypto, they often stay winners for much longer than you think. Everyone who faded $SOL memes like $WIF and $PEPE during the first phase of this cycle regretted it. On a similar note... Losers tend to be losers for a reason. Because nobody cares about that narrative (yet). So instead of looking for the catch-up play... Focus on the leaders: $POPCAT $TOSHI $MICHI $MOG are just some examples.
