My goal next year is to capture and help make trailers for more companies! I make cinematic content that works to showcase all the possibilities of your game in a smooth, easily digestible way. Just passed 1m likes on tiktok and trying to grow every day. Wish me luck! 😁

@PaulTassi Character deaths in this show were used as gimmicks to build viewership for sequential episodes. It felt manipulative at this point. That’s how I always looked at it anyways!

everything about this is a betrayal of these game’s artistry. painting over hand crafted intentional 3d art with shiny, wrinkly, sunken-in, porous, puckered, fraudulent filtered nonsense is deeply disrespectful. if you want this just watch gen-ai videos all day

2025 was a landmark year for gaming. Not a single game in a category in the game awards that didn’t deserve to be there. Clair Obscur winning is a message to big studios that we want better games made by people who love games and art more than money. WE all won tonight!

Played 1000xResist a year too late…this is one of my favorite games of all time now. Unbelievable story, surreal experience. Hauntingly beautiful and somber. Rarely does gaming get the chance to show it is an art form as well as this does

@GenePark Not enough Split Fiction truthers this year. Buried under the crushing weight of launching between kingdom come 2 and COE33. It was pure magic, so fluid, so earnest and sincere! Glad to see it that high on the list.

My top 10 games of 2025. I wont pretend that this list is comprehensive. I appreciate the struggle in hitting every quality title, especially this year. Blame it on the 275 hours of Xenoblade Chronicles X, which made this list. washingtonpost.com/entertainment/…

One of the most meaningful things I do to prepare for #TheGameAwards is editing our nominee hype trailer. All year long I capture little clips and moments from the games I play and jot notes in my Notepad. Then, in the final weeks, I comb through hundreds of hours of footage to find the story I want to tell. On the surface, it’s just a reel of cinematic moments from the nominees — but to me, it represents something deeper. Building this trailer helps me discover the emotional core of the show. It’s easy to look at TGA as a giant marketing event, but the reason this night resonates is because it means something to all of us. These trailers are my way of expressing that. Every year I agonize over which song to use. I create playlists, audition tracks during morning runs, and think about how lyrics and energy might illuminate the themes of the year’s games. This year, I chose Rain by Sleep Token — an extraordinary song about pain, rebirth, and catharsis. It reflected not just the journeys inside this year’s nominees, but a personal journey for me as well after losing my Dad a few months ago. A small note you might not know: when Sleep Token performs Rain live, Vessel often begins with chords from the Halo 3 theme — a beautiful, unexpected connection. When I reached out, the band was gracious enough to let us use the song for this project. I then worked with my musical collaborator @martinwavemusic to shape a custom version for the trailer. What you see here is the result — a three-minute piece that takes dozens of disparate games and finds a universal story running through them. Like any creative pursuit, the edit is a journey. After hundreds of hours, there’s a moment where things fall into place — when the right quote lands perfectly on the right note, and suddenly the whole timeline in Premiere lights up with meaning. I’m always deeply proud of these videos. They’re part of how I host this show. I’m not doing jokes or monologues — this is how I connect with you. And I hope that somewhere in this trailer, there’s a moment that resonates with how you feel when you play games. Thank you for watching, and thank you for giving us the opportunity to make this show every year. We can’t wait to share what’s coming this Thursday night.

This Thursday, join us for #TheGameAwards — our night to celebrate video games. I edited this year’s nominees trailer as a personal reflection on rebirth, renewal, and finding hope. I hope you enjoy. Very special thanks to Vessel and @Sleep_Token

Literally killed an over one hundred year old legacy and all just for a little bit more profit…This is exactly what he was brought in to do, why he was always resented, and it’s effectively further pushed us closer towards the end of theatrical and physical media releases. Anyone celebrating this or saying, “it could’ve been worse” to justify it…I literally don’t know what kind of a future you see or value but it’s certainly not the one I do.
