You have removed the subsidy. You have passed tax reform. You have stopped deductions from NNPC. You have increased borrowing. ALL ARE REVENUE EVENTS. Revenues have not merely doubled; they have tripled, according to your own data. Why can't the Army CAPEX be funded? Why can't the power debt be paid? Why can't all contractors be paid? Why can't you implement a temporary PMS relief? The revenue is not the issue; the problem lies in wasteful spending.

Nigeria has entered one chance oo. Wale Edun was actually the best appointment of Tinubu govt. He has the most experience and expertise to head the office since Okonjo-Iweala. That is why the economy has been stabilized. He is experienced, well-educated, and bold enough for the office too. Even in terms of education, Taiwo does not come close to him. This Taiwo Oyedele that you see is not a core finance person; he is a tax man. All his experience at PwC does not involve any core financial or economic expertise beyond taxation. The man has spent his entire career at PwC. He has built nothing, started nothing. How can you use 1 company experience to run a multifaceted minisrry. Wale, on the other hand, has been part of teams that started many investment and corporate banks, has worked at world bank, and he also owns a finance company. A tax man cannot lead the Nigerian finance ministry successfully. He knows nothing beyond tax. In terms of education, Wale has a BSc and Master’s degree from the prestigious University of London and Sussex, while Taiwo Oyedele only has an HND from Yabatech and a top-up degree from a UK Brookes University. No be to write plenty English for bio.... Taiwo is not a suitable finance minister. I don’t know what the mission is in appointing someone inexperienced in finance to head our fragile finance ministry, especially towards the election. It is wrong, it is sad, and we should all be angry.

I don't see Kashim Shettima continuing with Asiwaju as the Vice President in 2027 for two reasons. Number one reason is that he failed Asiwaju's loyalty test. The second reason is that Asiwaju loves to experiment with new things every election period. Based on what we have studied about his politics, we are expecting two things from him. Number one, whether we will see for the first time in Nigeria's history a child as the governor and a father as the president, or we will see for the first time in the history of Nigeria, especially in this Fourth Republic, where a Vice President will be dropped. The excuse they will give for this is that they don't want to continue this Muslim-Muslim ticket anymore because of the pressure from the West.

The relocation of the Nigeria Police Academy from Kano State to Ogun State has only reinforced Tinubu’s 1994 statement: “I don’t believe in one Nigeria.”

🚨BREAKING 🔵🦂FOOTBALL BUSINESS: WHY SPORTING LAGOS SHOULD SIGN HAKEEM ONITOLO. Following Sporting Lagos promotion into next season’s NPFL, the Lagos based side will be looking to make a shortlist of targets to bolster their squad ahead of next season’s football. One name that ticks a lot of boxes is HAKEEM ONITOLO. Although an unproven grassroot player, he is believed to have what it takes to compete at the highest level when given chance and time to integrate. Hakeem Onitolo has since rising to internet fame has become the most talked about grassroot footballer on the Nigerian internet space. He has created so much awareness about himself which has transformed his image value into a bigger and valuable asset. He has signed ambassadorial deals with brands in the past due to his online popularity. Signing Hakeem Onitolo would be a good move by sporting Lagos ahead of next season. Asides from the on-pitch footballing value he will add to the team, he’ll also add marketing and branding value to the heavily commercial sporting Lagos. His addition into the team would help boost the squad value, boost commercial merchandise and consequently add to the ever attractive grass to grace story of football. I think this is a venture worth pursuing by Sporting Lagos or any other commercial club in the Nigerian league.

Hi @akintollgate I want you to sit down quietly and read this last paragraph you wrote “You want to serve 🇳🇬 ? Build your own wealth or get your friends to fund your election. Avoiding political discussions, just had to give good advice 🙏🏾 NEVER AGAIN!” There is no serving Nigeria with telling people to use their wealth. That was exactly what I was talking about! Read it again! People are already using their wealth and exactly why they serve themselves and not Nigeria. There is something I call ‘Arrogance Of The Good” Because you did a good thing you are ready to throw in the towel and say never again! Guess what those who do bad say? Again and Again! They keep going until they win. When they win, people see it as overnight success. Eight months and we will not let people hear word? Some have been at it for over 30 years! They fail again and again and never give up! Guess what happens after 30 years of failure and they get a win?! People call them master strategists. Let me come back to 2023! We all campaigned for one candidate. Chosen by us and in the process there were unintended beneficiaries of that campaign. Let’s not make it look like it was them we supported and they failed us. So why the anger?! Would you have supported them if they were not in the same party as Peter Obi? I certainly wouldn’t and I am pretty sure you also wouldn’t! You think they don’t know that? In essence we weren’t supporting them! We were supporting our presidential candidate! That’s exactly why they don’t owe any allegiance to us. We have opportunity to choose and support those in 2027 who would know we chose them and they are not just unintended beneficiaries! Let me ask you as a fellow business person, if you had given up because of the first failure you encountered would you have any business today? By the way, having the money to run a campaign is not going to stop me from asking citizens or even you to donate to my campaign funds. If and when citizens vote me into office I would want to be reminded daily that my service is to them and not to me alone or my friends! Have a great day and remember, GOOD MUST BE MORE TENACIOUS THAN EVIL!!!!!!
Akin Olaoye@akintollgate

I held this perspective firmly in 2023 as we spent funds supporting the likes of the Okada Rider Hon. Donatus Mathew, Hon.Thaddeus Atta, Sen. Ireti Kingibe, Sen. Neda Imasuen & others I ❤️you Aisha, but young Nigerians, use this money to develop yourself or start a business. You want to serve 🇳🇬 ? Build your own wealth or get your friends to fund your election. Avoiding political discussions, just had to give good advice 🙏🏾 NEVER AGAIN!

It’s easy for information to flow from out of Seyi Makinde’s camp. And he will learn this fully when he leaves Government House. He will reflect upon why and he will conclude people aren’t loyal. But that will be in denial of a truth he must know deep down. People mistake servitude for loyalty. The moment only one party is expected to show up, you are no longer looking at loyalty. Has Makinde been showing up for his people? Soon, all those people will have a choice between him and indeed anyone else, say a Fayose or a Wike. And they will choose anyone but Makinde. Why? Not because he hasn’t been a good governor. By our standards, he has been. However, when it comes to his people, he hasn’t seen them enough to take care of them. So if anything leaks out of Makinde’s camp, I will believe it because you’d be hard pressed to find anyone who will stand with him when push comes to shove. I personally have nothing against him. But I will always be astounded by politicians who think the world revolves around them. In the end, they discover others have a choice and act surprised when they aren’t the chosen one. If Makinde organises an election between him and Wike amongst his (Makinde’s) closest people, Wike will defeat him. I mean this literally. To this day, some of his people are sad Wike doesn’t visit their oga again. Do you know why? PS: Many people want to be Bola Tinubu (I don’t mean him as President). They aspire to his outcomes when they ought to have paid more attention to the ‘how come?’ Bola Tinubu’s got loyalists in all the major parties. And no, he didn’t start cultivating them in 2022. By then, it was already a thriving vegetation.

The whole of University of Ilorin permanent site descended into riot and chaos in 2002 because Coca-Cola increased its price to N25. Students went on a rampage and Coca-Cola had to build the SUG relaxation spot. Coke and toast bread on walkway was for big boys and girls. Regular girls bought pure water, they would put a straw in the pure water sachet to look premium. In the hostel, "na baba abeg you get pure water for room" if you gave out a sachet of pure water, it was generosity at its peak. Boys would hide pure water sachet under their beds. Accommodation was N1,370 and students missed deadlines to pay. Some students would fight for accommodation slot just to resell at N3,000. That N3,000 still came with a payment plan of 6 months 😃😃. Cab fare from school to Tanke was N30 or N40. Students would stand by the road side under the hot sun begging for "lift". Fuel was N26 per litre but boys car dey empty tank consistently and that was even luxury. I remember driving to school, once I got past Sanrab na to put the gear in neutral to take me to Chapel sec school. Then climb Oke odo by Bekadims, neutral again to take me to school gate, fire till university quarters, down shift while approaching the bridge then neutral all the way. N300 fuel must last for a week. Regular Benz 230E injector wey dey drink fuel like mad.
