It may be too late for this season, or maybe not. We are thinking about hosting a Fall Tournament/Series at Vets sometime in September. We host a club tourney from the 19th-21st this year. That weekend won't work. Curious if teams are looking for fall "games".

We are on the southeast side of the Metro. It rained here from 3-7am. Field handled initial inch of so. Once front crawled past, we thought the rain was over. Instead, front stalled. Rain became puddles. Would have been a 3-4 hour turnover. Not much else we could do.

@BaseballLoons Again, we were asked because the Fed double booked Delano. No snark intended.

@Hurricane35Plus And if you don’t want to jeopardize the field- simple- don’t agree to host games. Can we not ask reasonable questions in good faith? The snark is unnecessary. Not a good look for Hastings guys.

@BaseballLoons Well, we aren't jeopardizing injury- -or our field for a one-day, three game set that we were asked to host three weeks ago. We are just trying to help. Hope you still have fun at our Park tomorrow. We are sorry about your frustration with Mother Nature. We don't handle her work.

@Hurricane35Plus Two or three years ago we drove to far south metro and played in a downpour on an awful mound after being told we HAD to play the game. This year we can’t wait and reassess in a few hours? I know it’s hard to plan for this stuff but I disagree with the way this was handled.

Our games at Vets Park have been postponed until Sunday. Same times. Same park. Mother Nature wins today.
