Since this thread, we've seen 3 major developments: 🏀 The "If This Goes In You Have To Subscribe" short now has several instances appearing of it running as an ad. ▶️ A new short was published yesterday titled "Every Youtube Play Button", which also emphasizes 500M. This short is also now appearing as an ad. 🔥 The main channel reached 488M subscribers at a 422K subs/day rate, keeping up the momentum so far this month. Only 12M to go!

Exes videos have been unpopular But the decline in early new video performance is there. More detail in alt text, but this is a moving average of 24H views for the last 10 vids

I mean if only .1% of the people end up becoming fans I guess its a net positve. That said, his subscribers are going up but his week 1-2 views are going down... its going to make it more and more obvious to people. His new video, for example, has 20 million LESS views than the video that came before it in the same time frame... but he gained like 10 million subscribers in that month.

@furkancarpo @Husky @MrBeast_Stats these 2 channels do come to mind as more "successful" ad channels, both have lower and more consistent growth rates rather than large growth spikes, not buying a ton all at once. we're in the 13th straight month of ads now for the main, maybe this is what they're aiming for?

My theory is he was losing a TON of subscribers during the controversy 2 years ago so he started to buy ads to hide that dip. Now he cant stop because I personally think his current subscriber growth is negative or less than 1 million subscribers a month. He has a TON of investors and if they saw he wasn't growing they'd start to panic, more people would unsubscribe etc. It seems like a verrrrrry shaky foundation.

Hey Asmongold, you mentioned on your stream yesterday that there isn't a "single actual criticism" that I have for you. But, in those tweets you read, I think I'm fairly succinct: Having one of the world's most visible Twitch streamers constantly repeat talking points curated by X's echo chamber, without any proper research, is problematic. We live in an age where there's a never-ending stream of information, and viewers rely on the creators they watch to parse fact from fiction. When you don't do your due diligence and just regurgitate what you see on screen, misinformation spreads. Also, not a huge fan of how you talk about immigrants. (Also, I've seen Nick Fuentes, but I'm pretty sure most people haven't. Even fewer parrot his talking points.

Getting views half as fast isnt slowing down? Ok... His views started to plummet after his 'survive 100 days in a nuclear bunker' video. Those videos were often getting 400m views, the ones right after are at 200 or less. If you track how videos perform their first month they are way under performing compared to 1-2 years ago. Obviously there is some fluctuation, but its easy to see. Also, he shut down his localized channels, so views from that move to the main channel, which makes the drop even more drastic.

Glad to see someone with a brain on twitter. His videos are nowhere near as viral as they were 2 years ago. No one is saying what MrBeast is claiming. Everyone is pointing out the growth on new videos is MUCH slower compared to when his older videos were uploaded. Its just a fact.
