What a stormy night! During storm #Telse we recorded wind gusts up to 58 km/h (class 7 of the #Beaufort scale) with our #NetAtmo weather station. #CitizenScientists provide #Weather data from their private stations as an important spatial extension of official measuring networks.

The kickoff event of #mareXtreme (marextreme.de) in Bremen has started, and with our project #METAscales we are part of it! We will model #marine extremes on mutiple scales and their socio-economic impacts. #mareXtreme2024 #METAscales #DAM

The water samples that we took from the Grunewald chain of lakes in Berlin have been analyzed in our laboratory on the #phosphate concentration (PC) with a photometer. A darker blue visualizes a higher PC. You can see strong differences between the lakes (each tube pair=1 lake).

Water Quality in the Grunewald chain of lakes - We've started a monitoring campaign to measure water quality parameter & nutrient concentrations in 10 connected lakes in Berlin to better understand the nutrient fluxes between the lakes as well as their ecological state. #DBU #DFG
