Frankly speaking, we're already way waaaay past the point where people shouldn't take TGA seriously because 90% of the vote is decided by mainstream game journos (and it's always been that way), but yeah I agree with this.
Hopefully this will be the "wakeup call" for the normies. Then again, also keep in mind that journos are obsessed with optics and none of their beliefs are firm/grounded in principle, so if they sense that they'd get scorched for glazing it with awards, they'll probably avoid it.
