Hyli is now in private mainnet. Production-ready infrastructure for partners building private, compliant financial applications. Public blockchains treat financial activity like a public feed. That works until it doesn't. If balances, counterparties, and payment patterns are visible, institutions can't use the system. Strategy leaks. Counterparties trade against you. Compliance breaks. But transparency isn't the enemy. Regulated finance needs systems that can be private by default and still provably compliant. That's what a privacy layer does. A privacy layer keeps sensitive data confidential while enabling compliance through cryptographic proofs and selective disclosure. It's not obfuscation. It's mathematically proven privacy.

Regulated institutions pay full KYC costs on applicants who were never going to qualify. No valid passport, restricted nationality, under 18… Binary failures caught at full price, independently, by every institution, on every applicant. A passport-derived proof (zkKYC) changes that. Before onboarding starts, the user generates a cryptographic proof on their device. If they fail, they won't pass KYC either. The institution knows this before the check runs. Full KYC checks cost real money. A meaningful share of that spend goes to applicants who fail the categorical check at step one. Move that filter earlier and you cut the lowest-value portion of your failure rate. On Hyli, these proofs are generated once and verified at the network level: no duplicate costs, and a much better user experience, with much lower cost for institutions.

Just wrapped EthCC, Stable Summit & Vault Summit. The takeaway: privacy needs to become a packaged, sellable product. The demand is there, the gap is real. • Institutions aren't asking "what is blockchain" anymore. They're asking "what do I build with it" • #1 gap in the market: being compliant AND private with seamless user experience on public chains. Apollo put out an open call for exactly this. • Selective disclosure is the unlock. Institutions can use public permissionless blockchains without the transparency problem that's been blocking them. • Tokenization of everything is loud, but liquidity doesn't follow automatically. The lending/yield problem is still unsolved. • Agentic economy is the talk of the season, and onchain cost efficiency is the real infrastructure question. This is exactly where Hyli plugs in: selective disclosure and compliant layer for DeFi.

Yield is growing fast, but there's still a lot to do before we have the infra for options, non-perp derivatives, so many other financial products. On the regulatory side, it's moving a bit slower, we don't know yet what's coming and it slows us all down a bit.
