I think they did a nice job with obtaining side information. It slows the game play down, and allows you to get to know the crew/characters and enjoy the surrounding environments! I hope there are a few side stories we can get into, but I don't want to be flooded with them like most games these days.

@Hyndrosa @CloudImperium So basically, more of a movie than a game it seems. Walking and talking, and watching others walk and talk. With small occasional breaks for a real gameplay.

@mullins052392 @CloudImperium I agree, and we will have more gameplay than cinematic's. Once SQ42 is LIVE, a lot is going to transfer over. And those not too keen on the cinematic side of things will enjoy the PU. But I feel your pain. 😁

I think it pays homage to the Freelancer and Wing Commander series. There are not many games I can think of that do the cinematic's like this anymore. I'm sure there will be a great amount of gameplay since there's close to 36 hours of cinematic's. It gives people a little rest, focuses on the story you're part of, and separates SQ42 from any other game on the market. I think a lot of gamers will be surprised. Awesome that you snagged a copy! I know many who regretted not getting one when they first decided to back Star Citizen. Having grown up playing Wing Commander, I picked one up when I bought my first game package for the PTU.

I’m glad my copy just kinda came with my backing for the PU cause from the sounds of it, it seems like it’s going to be an interactive movie rather than a game. Not that I’d particularly hate it, but I wouldn’t buy it outright. Maybe a summer sale discount or something. not really into interactive movie types of games.

True. I don't doubt @CloudImperium's 2026 date, and I know a lot of people are like, "Just release it already." I'm glad CIG sticks to their timeline, even if the community persists. A lot of what they were working on within SQ42 transferred over to the PU when Chris announce SQ42 being feature complete. But I'm really looking forward to seeing what coming up once SQ42 goes LIVE.
