@EMurotake @kevinbolk Although ironically enough we get more than one pilot who joined the Gundam Fight *because* their life was destroyed as a civilian and this is their only option now.

@Hypercubed2 @kevinbolk Right. Gundam usually shows that piloting a giant robot as a soldier is going to mess with your head. G has pilots who are markedly less traumatized by the piloting, but instead focuses on how fucked up it would be to be a person in the middle of those fights

@EMurotake @kevinbolk Yeah, that's a point. Shows like 0079 do a great job showing the psychological effects of those forced to fight in wars, like Amuro. But G Gundam is unparalleled in the franchise for showing the effects on civilians.

@Hypercubed2 @kevinbolk I've always put it as that G does better showing how conflict hurts the ones OUTSIDE the war. Other series focus on how war FUCKS UP the soldiers in it, while G focuses more on how the fighting tears apart the lives of people who have NOTHING to do with it.

@CisSiberian @Gabriel1847835 The OT implies that anyone organic can potentially use the force if taught, because it's harnessing the life energy produced by and surrounding/penetrating their own being. Bloodlines can be "strong in the force", but nothing about the movies implies that means "capable at all".

@Gabriel1847835 The OT, the PT, and the EU all make it clear that force sensitive individuals are rare and there is a hereditary component to it. The idea that "anyone can use the force" is an invention of the Disney era that goes against 30 years of established Star Wars lore.

Thank you to all my new followers from around the world! 🌎✨ I’m a 70-year-old Japanese grandma, and I absolutely love drawing robots. Is there a specific robot you’d like me to draw? Please let me know in the replies! I'd love to hear your ideas! ❤️

@Darkelfcraftman @RicharD1ckJohn If the average human citizen of the 40K Imperium has it "pretty swell in general" then they've failed to deliver on their own tagline/elevator pitch for the faction.

@Hypercubed2 @RicharD1ckJohn Point is these are just in universe conspiracy theories. Things can be very bad but human citizens have it pretty swell in general (all things considered). The median citizen lives a boring life of some toil and then dies.

@cjthex I believe the poppies are a Commonwealth thing. In the US November 11 marks the veterans who made it home, while In Flanders Fields is about the dead. The American equivalent of that one is in May.

@LukeMontalbano Poilievre is an anchor around your party's neck and the sooner you guys cut him loose the better for Canada as a whole, but considering how his leadership review went I'm not sure that's happening anytime soon.

Are you kidding me? Canada’s infrastructure is desperately in need of renewal and high speed rail along the Windsor-Québec City corridor is a no brainer. Us Tories have historically been the party of a national vision! This is provincial thinking. We need to get our fiscal house in order; we can do that while also investing in our country.

@CFC_GafferV2 A lot of the NDP sweep of Quebec in 2011 was a protest vote by angry Quebecois wanting to punish their two major parties by voting for this nice grandpa running the *other* left wing social democrat party.

@CFC_GafferV2 We should be so lucky, but the NDP has only attained official opposition status once in its history, and that required a perfect storm of Quebec being furious at the Liberals *and* the Bloc while also having a fondness for the NDP leader at the time (Jack Layton).

@Hypercubed2 @Spaceykey181663 @RicharD1ckJohn And in the end, it's still his fault. If he didn't see that betrayal coming from miles away, he was an imbecile. "Who would have thought that completely neglecting my children and treating them like tools would eventually be a problem?"

@Peko_girlboss A lot of people can't process the idea of chest sizes between "flat" and "huge". Android 18 from Dragonball Z gets that problem a lot, for example (she has a medium-sized chest and is always drawn either flat or stacked in fanart).

I lived in France for six years as a child, where high-speed trains are a common way to travel. Riding them was a great experience! They made it easy to move quickly between major cities without the stress of traffic or the discomfort of long car rides. One reason many Canadians don’t use trains today is that they aren’t fast enough, introducing high-speed rail could help address that issue.
