You're jumping to what happened after 1948 while skipping the part where the UN partition stripped most of Palestine and Israel took even more by force. That's the root. Palestinians rejected losing their own territory in broad daylight, and Israel took it anyway. That's the record.

Israel invaded Lebanon in 1978, before the Islamic Republic existed (1979) and years before Hezbollah was created (1982). So no, Israel wasn't bombing Lebanon "because of Hezbollah or Iran." The history predates both.1/2
