Makhi was a star at Tulane and was on track to be drafted to the NFL. Just like Tyjae Spears and Matt Forte. Then, Oregon paid him $700k plus to be so low on the depth chart that he didn’t even travel with the team. Hopefully taking short term money doesn’t cost him millions and a shot at the NFL. Hoping for the best for a Tulane legend 🙏

NIL is great, but the school needs to commit to revenue sharing. There are plenty of wealthy alumni (including - few billionaires), but the people in the admin have always struggled to get them to contribute to athletics. That needs to change. No reason why Tulane can’t be on SMU’s level

The Tulane players and staff will say they weren’t distracted, but of course they were. Jon Sumrall’s agent using the media as a negotiating tool during championship week ruined this team’s preparation. Echoes of the SMU debacle from last season. Another championship loss due to distractions. Roll Wave forever but I’m disgusted.

@CoachJonSumrall is a REAL leader and creator of winning culture. Spent a few hours around him and the team at the end of camp and he had me ready to suit up after his team meeting!!!!

Last night was another special moment to cap off my hall of fame career with accepting the ring of excellence presented by the @ProFootballHOF and @KayJewelers.
