Ellen and I are in St. Louis for NCAA tournament this week. Went to dinner tonight at the site of our first date 36 years ago. We were fired up the restaurant is still in business!

Top 15 national finish. The women end NCAAs in 15th with 14 points, the highest indoor point total & finish since 2013.

Over the last 4 minutes of that game, Iowa State and Arizona combined to make 13 of 15 shots. Including 7-for-7 on threes. Just a preposterous ending to a brilliant March basketball game!

This came up on my memories from nine years ago tonight. Interesting how things played out over the following years.

Exciting to share Iowa State athletics is in 17th place overall in the Learfield Directors' Cup all sports standing through December. It is a great start to the academic year. I look forward to seeing how we stackup given our strong start to our winter sports.
