Being a landlord isn’t what social media makes it out to be. My rental insurance just went up $700 a year. My sewer bill is up 15%. I’m not raising rent on my tenant who’s been there many years because loyalty matters. But let’s be real… When a landlord raises rent $100 a month, it’s usually not greed. It’s necessary Costs go up. Taxes go up. Maintenance goes up. A lot of landlords aren’t getting rich, they’re trying to stay afloat

@GenZMultifamily @CarsonTalkMoney Yep. You gotta put the work in finding the deal that works with conservative underwriting. Can’t just buy any old property without researching and expect to make a bunch of money. Being a landlord is not passive!

🇺🇸 Senators are being kept in DC all weekend to try and pass DHS funding and the SAVE Act as pressure builds. The fact that proving you're a citizen to vote requires this much arm-twisting is ridiculous...

Baby boomers aren't selling their homes & why would they?
They paid $120,000 for a home 25+ years ago, owe $0 & have $550k+ of equity.
"Downsizing" means they'd need to buy something for $450k + take on a 6.5% loan.
...Many won't move & this will keep inventory low.
