Update on my fitness journey for those who care. So after about a year now, I originally lost about 35 pounds of fat and got down to 197 (after my infection last summer). With weight training and evening out a bit, I’ve been a consistent 210-212 pounds for a few months now. Today starts my first ever bulk. My trainer and I are going to do it for about three months and then see how my body reacts to it cause my fear is gaining too much fat in my stomach area, but I am at the point where putting on more muscle mass is more important to me than a little bit of extra fat in my stomach. So we shall see what happens. Today I weighed 212 and this is what I’m working with. Excited to see how my body reacts to more calories 🤞🏻🙏🏻

@GayPatriot Probably no mechanism for that.
And the airlines aren't giving up the liability shield.

@EricLDaugh @amsomeonelse Japan is different though, what they can and cannot do is largely because of the Constitution WE forced them to adopt.

It's easier to talk about problems than it is to offer solutions. You need to identify problems, but there's a reason why so many people spend so much of their time talking problems. It's easier, they don't have the harder to figure out answers. But because of this it makes it seem like there are only insurmountable problems in life which makes life seem worse.
Even a simple answer is valuable.

@MikeLevin They are not worth the risk to marine and avian environment. Wind is just another eco-scam.

Let me get this straight.
The federal government held a legal auction for the right to build offshore wind farms. A company won those auctions fair and square, paying nearly a billion dollars into the U.S. Treasury. The projects went through years of review. Courts repeatedly upheld their legality.
Everything was above board.
Then the Trump administration tried five separate times to kill other wind projects in federal court and lost every single time. Judges reviewed the administration’s supposed “national security” justification and weren’t persuaded.
So now they’ve landed on a new plan: pay the company nearly ONE BILLION DOLLARS of your tax money to just walk away. Because, and I am not making this up, the president thinks offshore wind turbines are ugly and claims without evidence that they “drive whales crazy.”
He’s been nursing this petty grudge since 2012, when he tried to block a wind farm visible from his golf course in Scotland. Fourteen years later, American taxpayers are footing the bill for it.
This is stupid policy. It’s fiscally reckless, strategically blind, and driven entirely by a personal vendetta rather than any coherent vision for American energy or competitiveness.
Meanwhile, China is racing ahead, building offshore wind at a staggering pace and positioning itself to dominate the global clean energy economy for decades to come.
None of this is America First.

@baritoneluke I've observed that gay men's healthy relationships either max out at ~7yrs or last forever.

Genuinely one of my worst fears and why I don’t actively go out to look for a relationship.

people who date for 6–7 years and still end up parting ways genuinely scare me

I want to be someone who brings people together. I think a lot about my ambitions (maybe I’m getting old), and my time on 𝕏 has cemented in me the idea that we all crave connection but have become very bad at friendship.
The abundance of contacts in the social-media world has cheapened everything. We’ve become casual with everyone because, fuck—why not? You can always tap the screen and move on to the next person.
But life is not an all-you-can-eat buffet. The supply is finite, and so is your time. So I don’t want to be part of the problem. I want to strengthen bonds between us, scattered as we are across the Earth.
I’ll be unblocking a few people I cut out because they said or did a thing. No one should be held to standards so high that they can’t be annoying, petulant, needy, or even a dick sometimes.
We should all get over ourselves (me first) and treat others with the patience we wish we were shown.
