Why am I seriously considering placing a deposit on another Cybertruck? My wife wants a CyberSUV, not a truck. I have one with FSD owned, and will be low mileage in June 2028 when the lease is up. It’s a keeper. I’d miss the banger stereo. Not much else. AI5 might be available. Buy out my current lease, transfer the FSD, sell a low mile Premium with 10k miles?

Am I the only one who thinks this is an absolutely terrible idea? -Subscription fatigue is real. -FSD subscriptions can’t be financed. Now you make two monthly payments. -HW3 owners will need to pay out of pocket for the retrofit. -FSD license Transfer will be dead. -Future autonomous vehicles will require ongoing payments regardless of ownership. (i.e. I buy a car without a steering wheel but it won’t work unless I keep paying?!) -Subscriptions are easy to churn for temporary, seasonal, or cyclical time periods. Essentially: “Pay forever or your car shuts off”.

@DirtyTesLa Can you stop exiting the HOV lane just to go right back into the HOV lane? FSD goes into the out lane and uses it to go right back in. I add a stop just so it doesn’t do it.
