The last talk of the day comes from Vladan Vuletic (@MIT), speaking about a time-reversal-based measurement behind the standard quantum limit (SQL). This is in the context of an experiment with Yb atoms which shows an improvement of 12 dB beyond the SQL. #ICAP2022

Starting off our Metrology Session is Norman Yao from @UCBerkeley, presenting a Landau theory for spin squeezing. #ICAP2022

Mike’s group at Imperial are trapping CaF molecules in a magneto-optical trap (MOT). There are other molecular MOTs: other CaF MOTs at @PrincetonPhys and @harvardphysics, YO at @JILAscience and others.
