For too long, services for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence have been underfunded, leading to long wait times and staff burnout. Last week, I met with advocates from @ICASA_endrape and @ILCADV to talk about ways we can improve access to these critical resources.

We are so grateful that the General Assembly included $20 million for “grants to provide assistance to Sexual Assault Victims and for Sexual Assault Prevention Activities” in the FY25 budget bill and that the Governor signed it into law.
