@ICBC serious question: why are drivers in B.C. still waiting up to 60 days for a renewed licence in 2026? Other jurisdictions issue photo ID far faster. A temporary paper licence for weeks is not a modern standard. What’s causing the delay, and when will this be addressed?

@josh88010914541 Hi Josh, due to the stat holiday our offices were closed on Friday and Monday. Only our dial a claim lines were open for customers to file their claim. Your payment issue should be resolved today. ^ap

@icbc I have a claim with you guys and there is no manager in office today help with payments until Monday? Why are there not a single manager in office today to help with payment as my agent, his manager and his manager are not in office until Tuesday and I am owed today....

@icbc I followed your request and spoke with the office manager today, but my concerns remain.
I was told examiners can “hear” if a rider slows before emergency braking, and that braking distance standards aren’t disclosed because it would “defeat the point of the test.”

@ShamusStoner4 Hi Shamus, generally, we mail licences within a couple of weeks, and you should receive your card within 60 days of your application. In the meantime, your interim licence has the same validity. Unfortunately, we are not able to produce photo cards on-site. ^YC

@icbc Hello ICBC just out of curiosity ?? Why does it take 60 days to mail out a photo BC services card to someone who needs it badly
Like myself and Dont provide a temporary card because I'm sick and tired of being asked for photo id do you know what it's like being asked for id

@pkaaramsay Hello, with Roadstar and Roadside Plus you will be covered to rent a vehicle as long as the cost to rent doesn't exceed $300 CDN/day (or $250 USD/day) and the rental contract period doesn't exceed 30 days. ^ap

@JohnBuckha21020 Hi Sandakan, if your licence has expired less than 3 years ago then you are able to renew it without giving a test again. You can book an appointment to visit one of our driver licencing offices to renew. ^ap

@icbc I just received my insurance renewal letter and noticed someone entered the wrong odometer amount on it,it reads 160,000km when it should have been 260,000km there is no way I put 106,000km on my vehicle in a year,I have only put under 7,000 as I'm not working

@buckcity84 @icbc I was driving their business vehicle with their permission for their business purposes. I scratched the bottom of their bumper.
Do I have insurance to cover that or do they cover it? Does my insurance go up? Etc.
