@Uranium4Lunch @AlexInCyber @DallasTexasTV Genuine question here but is that always the case? Aren’t some breaks magnetic and if the power went out there would be no magnets to stop the train? Not sure on this specific ride ofc

@AlexInCyber @DallasTexasTV Even if the ride loses power, the brakes will still always work. Their default position (even when there is no power) is going to stop the train

@ORCHATER @InterstellarUAP The difference here is things like mathematics, observations of the world and the universe etc, these are not past events, they are permanent truths, mathematics if re written may come out slightly differently but the core concept would be the same, whereas the bible not so

🚨 Ricky Gervais on God & Why The Universe Exists - "Why is there SOMETHING rather than Nothing" “I’m an agnostic atheist. Technically everyone’s agnostic… no one knows whether there’s a God. We don’t know." "An agnostic atheist is someone who doesn’t know there’s a God or not, as no one does. So you’re not convicted of your atheism?” Atheism isn’t a belief system, it’s simply rejecting the claim that there is a God. Are you an agnostic atheist too? Or do you believe? What’s your take? @Kuhmfy Nah unless you play with complete ego, new players stand absolutely no chance compared to high level players, same with golds vs masters etc. Apex is miles above in terms of skill ceiling comparedto the likes of other fps shooters like cod, now that us a game any droid can win

@GeorgeHQ_X @LBC @DeborahMeaden So if someone wants to regulate capatilism they must be a communist? Is that seriously the only understanding you have… Unfettered capatailsm is by all definitions a cancer, and acts as such, no such thing as a free market now

@andoniAmu @Heccles94 What makes you come to that conclusion now? Surely you must see a correlation between the stagnation of wages and the retreat of workers unions. And you must surely recognise that the future for workers is heading back to that very paradigm that existed in the past

I believe unions had a mission in the 1950s, ’60s, and ’70s, when employees were forced to work insane shifts with little pay and no rights. That fight has been won, and now workers’ rights—along with protections against discrimination and other issues—are written into law. Today, I think unions are largely the cause of much of the unproductivity in many sectors.

Tesla doesn't recongise Trade Unions. Apple doesn't recognise unions. Amazon is anti-union. McDonald's is anti-union. Starbucks is anti-union. Google is anti-union. Walmart is anti-union. These mega businesses are not on your side.

@andoniAmu @Heccles94 .. a fair word to use. But back to the original post, Trade unions exist for the very reason to stop what unfortunately the modern economy has become, businesses of today are not in anyway a benefit for the average worker, and to think otherwise is just absurd.

@andoniAmu @Heccles94 I feel you’re being intellectually dishonest here. unemployment rates have risen in both the US and UK, as well as the largest companies growing their employment numbers, thus squeezing more people either out of employment or to work for the big companies, choice doesn’t seem..

@andoniAmu @Heccles94 So you agree with the original point then, the employees don’t have a choice. Simply put, unfettered capitalism doesn’t breed competition, it invites corruption and market manipulation, the opposite of innovation and investment. Therefore also restraining worker options

Of course, there are businesses you can't compete with—that's nothing new. Try building cars in your garage to rival Volkswagen. But even Volkswagen competes with Ford, Tesla, and others. Meanwhile, there are plenty of entrepreneurs around the world creating new and interesting businesses, innovative ideas, and exciting projects, with billions in investment pouring into them. If you expect the world to stand still so a mom-and-pop shop can keep rolling, you're living in the wrong century, my friend.

@andoniAmu @Heccles94 So your example is to name another huge company, thereby showing the issue, monopolies dominate, theres almost no room for small businesses thus making choices for employees incredibly limited

If Amazon drives Waterstones out of business, their flamboyant employees likely won’t end up working in Amazon’s warehouses, they might become baristas in organic coffee shops or take on similar roles. It’s the investors who bear the financial loss. But that’s how the free market works.

@Koz112096 @RickyLucero_ @the_jefferymead No no, your point is irrelevant, you seem to think the non interchangeable part to this is the billionaires, If theres a market theres a seller simple as, employment would actually thrive if it weren’t for massive organisations stifling competition

@ICMoveMentXBL @RickyLucero_ @the_jefferymead Your point is so irrelevant it's unbelievable. Whatever 'other' version of Amazon or whatever that would have existed in this alternate reality you're envisioning, they too would have been formed by rich people making investments

Tesla employs around 125,000 full time workers worldwide. Amazon employs around 1.5 million full time and part time workers. Microsoft employs approximately 213,000 full time workers worldwide. Intel employs approximately 84,000 full time workers worldwide. Isn’t it funny how he is complaining about people losing jobs, but isn’t crediting the billionaires with the millions of jobs their businesses create? People like this are pathetic.
Harry Eccles@Heccles94

Musk sacked 80% of staff when he bought twitter Bezos is sacking 14,000 people to replace with AI Microsoft are cutting 4.1% of jobs (9,100) to replace with AI Intel are cutting up to 25% of staff to replace with AI What's that about billionaires creating jobs?

@mami2608198243 @LoudSil89342659 @H8KUcom @bublivia As have you! Of course the original posts’ solution is definitely not the way about it, but something does need to change or power will only syphon more in one direction as it already has been doing, and its a real danger to future generations, what that answer is I don’t know

@mami2608198243 @LoudSil89342659 @H8KUcom @bublivia It’s nice to have a conversation without the name calling 😊, and I hope you enjoyed it here! I fully get the humility, but do the current billionaires deserve unchecked power and influence because of some good, they now also stifle competition that could bring better outcomes
