Together with @PalestineRCS, the ICRC weapon contamination team installed 10 murals to warn of the ongoing threat of explosive remnants of war. Unexploded weapons endanger civilians, especially children, long after the conflict stops. These murals save lives and prevent injuries.

For decades, northern Israel has endured the consequences of armed conflict. To support communities, we worked with partners at the Community Stress Prevention Center to establish a trauma centre that is already helping people affected by hostilities to recover.

In armed conflict, civilians must be protected at all times, without exception. Here are five rules to protect them👇

BEC is a course developed by @WHO, @ICRC, and @IFEMofficial that teaches nurses and junior doctors to rapidly assess and manage life-threatening conditions — with little to no equipment. In Gaza, that's not a scenario. That's daily reality.

In #Gaza, many health facilities are damaged or destroyed. Yet healthcare workers at Al-Shifa Hospital are still showing up — and still being trained. This month, they completed Basic Emergency Care (BEC) training. Here's why that matters. 👇

Since the 7 Oct. attacks the ICRC has elevated its support to first responders in Israel. We helped ZAKA - an org. dedicated to the handling of deceased - to purchase advanced lighting systems. “When you want to honour a person after death, you can’t afford to miss anything.”
