Parties to a conflict must take all possible measures to search for, collect, and evacuate the dead, regardless of who they are, and have a responsibility to make every effort to identify them. Families should know the fate & whereabouts of their loved ones.

We share our heartfelt condolences to the family, colleagues & friends of Hussein Hasan Hussein Al-Sumairy who was killed today while providing emergency medical service in Khan Yunis. Medical personnel & humanitarian workers must be able to carry out their work in safety.

100 days since the ceasefire, people in #Gaza continue to face immense suffering. They need an end to the violence. They need urgent humanitarian assistance. Winter extremes and flooding only make the daily struggle to survive harder.

🛑 The Palestinian Red Crescent inaugurated the upgraded Emergency Department at Al-Amal Hospital, enhancing emergency care capacity. The project was implemented with support from the ICRC to improve readiness and quality of medical services

We are glad to work hand in hand with @PalestineRCS and inaugurate today the newly rehabilitated emergency department (ED) at Al-Amal Hospital that was damaged during hostilities. It was upgraded, increasing ED capacity by 40% & improving triage during mass casualty incidents

Earlier this month, the ICRC delivered infection prevention supplies to Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza. Wards are full, resources are limited, and needs far exceed support—continued assistance is vital to keep lifesaving care running.
