In 2014, a young student, Sudarshan Subedi, arrived at the British Council #Nepal office to participate in the Wall of Hope programme. Inspired, he introduced our International School Award (ISA) to his school, where he had studied for 12 years. He volunteered as the ISA coordinator, helping the school win the award. He became a consultant for the British Council, supporting hundreds of schools in developing an international dimension in their curriculum. He went on to join the British Council, working on Connecting Classrooms, then English and Schools Programmes, eventually becoming manager of English and School Education. He is now Head of Business Development, supporting the expansion of our exam services, strengthening strategic partnerships and driving sustainable growth. From being a beneficiary of one of our programmes to becoming a valued senior member of staff, it’s an impressive journey!
