That pinecone in your bathroom is completely dead. Not a single cell in the whole thing is alive. And yet, the moment your shower fills the room with steam, it closes up on its own. Dead wood, reacting to moisture, all by itself. Each of those little wooden scales has two layers inside. The bottom layer soaks up water and swells by about 20%. The top layer barely moves. So when one side gets bigger and the other stays put, the whole scale bends upward and curls shut, same way a piece of paper curls when one side gets wet. Air dries out, bottom layer shrinks, scale drops open again. Pine trees have been running this exact design for about 390 million years, more than 150 million years before the first dinosaurs showed up. It does all of this for one reason: seeds. If seeds fell during rain, they'd just land right next to the parent tree and fight for the same sunlight. So the cone seals shut and waits. When conditions turn dry and windy, scales open and lightweight seeds catch the breeze and travel way farther from home. Look closely and the scales sit in spirals, 8 going one way and 13 the other. Same pattern you see in sunflower heads. I had to read this next part twice. In the 1960s, German coal miners pulled a few pinecones out of a coal deposit. Nobody thought much of it at the time. Decades later, a research team at the University of Freiburg got hold of them and figured out one was about 120,000 years old. Another was roughly 15 million years old. They soaked them in water. Both still closed up. Moved about half as much as a fresh pinecone, but after 15 million years underground with zero maintenance, the mechanism still worked. The coal had kept the wood flexible instead of turning it to stone. Engineers looked at this and started copying it. A team at the Universities of Stuttgart and Freiburg made 424 tiny panels out of wood fiber, designed to change shape on their own when humidity shifts, copying the pinecone's two-layer trick. They stuck them on a building's south-facing window. In winter, the panels curled open on their own to let sunlight warm the inside. Come summer, they flattened and blocked it. The whole system runs without electricity, motors, or wiring, just wood fiber reacting to weather the same way it has for 390 million years. They published the results in Nature Communications after a full year of testing. Every panel still worked. Your bathroom pinecone is a humidity sensor that predates dinosaurs by 150 million years, runs on dead wood and physics, and engineers are still trying to copy its homework.

What you are seeing below is the new reality under Trump. This is why Trump made a deal with Venezuela 🇻🇪 That came first. Remember drill baby drill? All the new drilling leases? Americas energy dominance? It’s all been a multi year plan. Trump has all the cards… 🃏 Energy. Oil Gas. ⛽️ Look at London now. Trump is systematically destroying the old guard and bringing them to their knees. “He who hold all the cards”….. Us oil production is almost at max capacity. Countries are switching to American and Venezuelan oil which we now control. As of today these are pictures showing tankers coming in and out of the Gulf of America ( do you see why he renamed it now? ) and the Straight of Hormuz… See the difference? This is why Trump said not to be a panican. You are witnessing a realignment of energy dominance. Our prices will start to fall when this shift is complete. These things take a little time. Once our gas and diesel prices fall, the economy will witness the greatest boom it has ever seen. Yall wanted a power shift? Well, here it is. Short term pain for long term gain. Trump holds all the cards 🃏 Are you seeing it yet?

🚨HECK YES. This is what dominance looks like. Iran tried the same old playbook… Delay. Deny. Create confusion. Choke the Strait of Hormuz… then play victim. “Maybe there are mines… maybe there aren’t…” They thought uncertainty would buy them leverage. Instead? It exposed them. USS Frank E. Peterson (DDG-121) USS Michael Murphy (DDG-112) Didn’t hesitate. They moved. Straight through the Strait… Under threat… under pressure… under surveillance… And got to work. Mine-clearing operations initiated. Unmanned systems deployed. Sea lanes being secured. No speeches. No delay. Just execution. Let’s be clear about what this shows: This isn’t bluff vs bluff. This is capability vs noise. Aegis combat systems. Tomahawk strike capability. Advanced ISR. Elite crews trained for exactly this scenario. While Iran talks… America operates. And here’s the real shift: Control of the Strait means control of global flow. Nearly 20% of the world’s oil moves through that corridor. You secure that… You don’t just respond to the world… You shape it. No more “tolls.” No more interference. No more games with global energy. That leverage just changed hands. This is what power projection actually looks like: Freedom of navigation enforced… not requested. Trade routes protected… not negotiated. Adversaries tested… and exposed. Iran’s IRGC? Reduced to radio chatter and edited clips. Meanwhile… U.S. Navy assets complete mission objectives in real time. That’s the difference. This is America at full strength: Decisive Capable Unapologetic Not reacting to threats… Neutralizing them. God bless the men and women of the U.S. Navy. And God bless the United States of America. #SilentMajoritySpeaks #AStoneGroove

There it is! Trump confirms the US MIL are taking control of the Strait of Hormuz and implementing a blockade. Other nations will be involved as well. Iran will no longer be able to sell their oil, and big importers like China are about to get impatient. This might force China to have to buy oil from us. Trump is acquiring all the leverage, not just on Iran, but on China, and NATO. In conclusion, Iran is trying to hold the world hostage, and Trump is not going to let it happen. The Iranians continue to prove why they cannot have nuclear weapons, and have proven Trump was correct to destroy them.

TRUTH, LAW & MONEY An Immutable Chain of Order God is Source. Source is Life. Life is Energy. Energy is Divine. What is Divine cannot be destroyed. Law is real. Math is law. Money is math. Therefore money is never neutral. When math is honest, money is honest. When measures are honest, exchange is just. When exchange is just, truth can flourish. And where truth flourishes, people are made free. Dishonest weights and dishonest measures are not merely bad policy. They are an abomination. The Genius of Clarity is all Acts can be Verified True & Recorded. Atomically, by consensus. Ledgered. Inspectable. Forever. Liars always seek to lie, scheme, pervert, steal, kill and destroy. Give A Shit About Nature
Give A Shit About Nature@giveashitnature·
It's a myth that dryer lint is good for bird nests. It's actually killing baby birds. It’s loaded with detergent residues, fabric softeners, and microplastics from synthetic clothes. When it gets wet (which it will), the lint collapses, creates holes, and can expose or entangle chicks. Put out natural cotton or wool scraps in a mesh bag instead. Birds get safe, sturdy nesting material, and you keep extra microplastics and toxins out of the wild.

@angelojello74 I admire you being the kind of man that helps your neighbors. I'm 77 and here where I am, neighbors barely speak to one another. Luckily, I am an introvert and enjoy peace and quiet!

Geez my post about giving my neighbor a hand with her hot water tank blew up. Leaving soon to get the new tank but I wanted to let some of you know a few things. First I was a carpenter for many years. My father taught me everything I know about construction, trades. I do know what I am doing. I’m not an idiot. I don’t need to watch a YouTube video on doing whatever. Second I’m not asking for praise. If there’s one thing I like about X is reading the good things in life. I thought this was a good thing. Most of my neighbors are elderly. In the winter my son and I will clean the snow of their driveways. We help them clean up their leaves. When the power is out we check on them. It’s not about looking for a “medal “ it’s about doing the right thing.

My neighbor came over around 600pm. She had a problem with her hot water tank. The problem was a leak. The tank is done. She was going to call a plumber but I told her I’ll take care of it. A plumber on a weekend would be crazy expensive. I went to shut the water off to the tank. The water valve wouldn’t turn. It’s also done. I shut the water off at the meter. Lucky I had some valves here at the house. I fixed that. Told her tomorrow we can run out and get a new tank and I’ll put it in. I know she doesn’t have a lot of money. She’s elderly and all alone. So my son and I will take care of it. She offered to pay. I told no, just get us a pizza for lunch.

To: Dave Re: Keith (ongoing) Subject: Horticultural damages, behavioural patterns, and what I can only describe as premeditation Dave, I have now counted the damage to my ground elder across three separate occasions. The ground elder was established. I was managing the ground elder. The ground elder is gone. I did not ask for this outcome. I was not consulted. I also wish to raise the matter of Keith's expression when I found him on my property on Tuesday. I am not a person who attributes complex emotional states to livestock. I am a reasonable man. However the way he looked at me when I opened the back door was not the expression of an animal that was surprised to be discovered. It was the expression of an animal that was finishing. There is a difference. I would also like to formally request an explanation for the following: Tuesday 7:04am, my gate was latched. Tuesday 7:09am, Keith was in my garden. Tuesday 7:19am, Keith was gone and my gate was latched again. This should not be possible. I have looked up Anglo-Nubian goat cognition. I am now more concerned, not less. Please advise. Steve Dave did not advise. Dave added a column. The column is labelled: Steve. The column already has nine entries.
