H.E President William Ruto, has appointed selection panel to oversee recruitment for vacancies of seven Members of IGRTC. The appointments are contained in today’s issue of the Kenya Gazette, attached.

IGRTC CEO Dr. Kipkurui Chepkwony joined leaders led by @HEAhmedJiir Chairperson @KenyaGovernors residents of Buuri Constituency, family and friends in paying tribute and celebrating the life of the late Josephine Kagwiria Guantai, beloved mother of Mary Mwiti, CEO of the COG.

The discussion provided an opportunity to share updates, clarify key issues and explore pathways toward a constructive and amicable resolution.

During the engagement, the Members briefed the Board on the status of the ongoing intergovernmental dispute between KMTC and the County Government of Machakos.

IGRTC Members John Kimwela, Angeline Hongo and John Burugu today paid a courtesy visit to the Board of Directors of Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), chaired by Mr. Joseah Cheruiyot.

The meeting reaffirmed the strong commitment between IGRTC and the State Department to build strategic synergies aimed at enhancing devolution and improving service delivery across all levels of government.

During the meeting, the Vice briefed the Governor on the ongoing dispute between the County Govt and the KMTC.Governor Ndeti reaffirmed the County Government’s commitment to working together to resolve the dispute and ensure better service delivery for the people of Machakos.

Today, IGRTC Vice Chair Madam Saidia Kontooma and Member John Kimwela paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Wavinya Ndeti at the Machakos County Government Headquarters (White House) to explore ways of strengthening partnership and collaboration.

The high-level meeting, held at Safari Park Hotel, focused on aligning national and county priorities to unlock opportunities within the blue economy, strengthen intergovernmental collaboration, and drive sustainable economic growth.

@IGRTC_KE CEO today joined PSs @Devolution_KE , Mr. Michael Lenasalon,@MiBeMa_2022 & ,Ms. Betsy Muthoni Njagi,alongside the @KenyaGovernors Blue Economy Committee chaired by H.E. Gvn Paul Otuoma,for a strategic briefing ahead of the Inaugural Blue Economy Sector Forum.

This milestone underscores a pivotal moment in intergovernmental cooperation, demonstrating a strong commitment by both the national and county governments to work collaboratively through consultation and cooperation, reflecting the spirit of devolution.

The signing ceremony, held at the office of Kisumu Deputy Governor Dr. Mathew Ochieng Owili, was graced by key stakeholders including @UmmiMBashir, NMK Director General Prof. Mary Gikungu, IGRTC Chairman CPA Kithinji Kiragu, and IGRTC Member Mrs. Angeline Hongo.

IGRTC today facilitated the signing of an Inter-Governmental Partnership Agreement (IPA) between the National Museums of Kenya (NMK) and the County Government of Kisumu, marking the official handover of the Kisumu Museum to the County Government.
