You are right. One day, my son came home early after riding bikes with his friends. My wife and I asked why he was home so early since he still had about an hour to play. He said he fell off his bike and didn’t want to ride again. My wife said to me, “You see why he shouldn’t play outside or ride bikes like that? It’s dangerous.” I told my son, “Okay, let me see your wound. It’s quite bad, so let’s bandage it and stop the bleeding. I’ll give you pain meds. Relax today, and tomorrow you will go out and ride your bicycle again.” I explained that as a boy, we learn from pain and don’t back down because of it. Today, he happily went out to enjoy time with his friends riding bikes. If left to my wife, as the protective mother she is, our boy would not ride bikes. As a father, I have fallen many times and always gotten up to keep moving. My son needs to learn that too. A woman does not know how to raise a boy into a man.

Nigerian Air Force Serviceman Arrested With Illegal F+rearms, Claims G¥ns Were Sent by Edo Govt House Inspector for Police Commissioner’s Orderly Troops of the 12 Brigade, in collaboration with operatives of the Kogi State Command of the National Dr¥g Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), have intercepted and arrested an Aircraftman of the Nigerian Air Force for illegally conveying f+rearms. According to the operatives, Fakai claimed he was delivering the w£apons to Constable Mohammed Auwal Haliru, an orderly attached to a Commissioner of Police at the Police Force Headquarters in Abuja. Fakai further claimed that the f+rearms were sent to him by Inspector Paul, currently serving at the Government House in Benin, Edo State.

An Air Force guy caught smuggling pump-action rifles and cartridges, claiming it’s “official delivery” from Edo Government House to a CP’s orderly in Abuja?This stinks worse than a Lagos gutter in rainy season.Either:Top police and government officials are running private armouries with serving officers as couriers (massive corruption and breach of the Firearms Act), or The arrested guy is lying through his teeth to drag big names into his mess. Both scenarios are rotten. Lock up the airman, sweat Inspector Paul in Benin, drag Constable Haliru and whoever sent him shopping for illegal guns, and let them all sing in open court. No “panel of inquiry” that dies quietly; full prosecution. The military and police don’t get to play fast and loose with weapons while preaching to bandits. Clean house or admit the whole system is compromised.
