@IHCphil @sebula975 That's what did me on Wed. Not got 60 years like you. But we were (deservedly) like a poor league 1 side away at Oxford. The fact it's our own doing was really hard to take. Thankfully they grafted hard today and rode their luck.

Today #Rovers showed buckets of fight to outweigh our gaps in quality - that remains a concern that we've brought upon ourselves. Big summer needed regardless. Fans spend much £ & time- always a choice. Seeing us compete is all we want. Days like today help, nghts like Wed don't.

@bav_aled @sebula975 Thanks. I’ve been watching Rovers for over 60 yrs and seen some really duff teams (as well as some great ones) but I was just despondent driving home on Wed night. CM is so weak IMO that we have to play with 2 up front and it’s great to hear that we found some fight again

@IHCphil @sebula975 We battled well - led by McLoughlin & Cashin. Rode our luck with the red card & pen for them. But key was getting 2 up top. Them going down to 10 gave MON bravery to do it.

It’s a complicated situation FIFA is trying to stick to its rules about participation, but expecting a team to show up under these circumstances feels completely out of touch. It really highlights how sports organizations often ignore the real-world context behind these decisions.

So let me get this straight. FIFA is threatening to penalize Iran for not coming to the world cup in the United States, which just bombed the hell out of them and this is the same FIFA that gave the president of the country that bombed them a peace prize.

@ChrisMartin_93 There were no redeeming features in that game. Not one. I’ve seen some bad teams and players in 60+ yrs of watching Rovers. But that was up there with the worst. I chose to drive 7+ hrs to watch that game. Some of those players chose to not put the extra effort in that we needed

Nine games to go and I think that’s us down. And if/when we do go down, we absolutely fucking deserve to because we haven’t been good enough. Disgraceful. #Rovers

@BlueCeltic @Logically_JC H/c and education are a basic tenet of a civilised society. Illegal migration is irrelevant to any comparisons. For a long time your h/c system has been an outlier in western nations. It’s hugely expensive and inefficient and dosnt offer universal coverage.

Like illegals .... how many millions do we as taxpayers spend on people being here utilizing our hospitals and urgent care centers that should not be doing so. If you're going to kvetch about how bad our system is and how great the system in Europe is (which it isn't) then include that as well because that is a massive drain on resources and takes care away from legal US citizens who end up paying for it. And healthcare isn't a right ...

@BlueCeltic @Logically_JC Universal healthcare should be a basic human right in a civilised society. No one should want for h/c because they can’t afford it. The only Q is what’s the best way to deliver it. There are a no of variants in Europe but every one is more economic and efficient than the US one.

As I said Phil, I think there is room for improvement to say the least but tossing out universal health care as though it's the Rosetta Stone is not the answer either. Neither was the boondoggle of Obama not care that is the 6th largest entitlement program ever foisted on this country.

This one does not hit hard - look at the UK and Canada. Their "universal health care" is crumbling. This guy is comparing the USA to Norway: "The United States has a vastly larger population than Norway, with roughly 340-343 million people compared to Norway's 5.5-5.6 million. The US population is over 60 times greater than that of Norway. Norway is a much smaller country in terms of both population and physical size." Sure, if we were a tiny country we could do what they're doing but we're not. The UK and Canada are bigger than Norway as well; Canada is 7x bigger and the UK is 12x bigger. They have a great medical system they pay out the nose for; good for them. You can't compare a tiny country to a massive country like the USA and say oh yeah, we could do that and it would work wonderfully. Sure, we need to make changes to our healthcare, but there are people coming over here from Canada to be treated. If their system was so great why is that happening? Why have they gone to MAID as a "healthcare option?" To cut costs that's why. Each country is different and looking at some tiny country with envy as though it's in any way comparable to the U.S. is ridiculous.

Farage said today that, during Covid, people were told the Covid jab meant they would not catch Covid again, or could not pass it on. This is a lie. People were always told you could still catch Covid after the jab, but you would be less ill and less likely to end up in hospital.

Thoughts have changed a little now on the boycotts and turn off the taps ill be honest. We need to find a way to get to the owners a different way, somehow. What we also need is a good crowd on throughout until May to make sure we stay up and go into 26/27 on a high with ONeill

@KidderStNoise @LatestRovers I’ll try again. We’d take a huge hit on income. Our crowds would be down even more. We’d attract and afford cheaper/poorer players and the football would be poorer too. And there’s no guarantee you get promoted quickly like we did last time. So why would anyone want that?
