When Magyar says he is going to eliminate the state-run media and allow for "independent and free media," please know that he is following orders from Brussels! In August 2025, the European Media Freedom Act came into full effect. The EMFA is an EU Regulation, which requires media organizations in the Member States to follow strict guidelines and submit to monitoring by the European Board for Media Services.

I welcome the announced 10 day ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, mediated by President Trump. This is a relief, as this conflict has already claimed far too many lives.
