Using the Microsoft OpenAI partnership as an example, participants will examine how such novel partnerships can shape markets, innovation, and society, and how decision makers can make sense of complexity when the stakes are high and information is limited.

As part of the inaugural short course, Elena Rovenskaya, IIASA Advancing Systems Analysis Program Director, will lead a session exploring the systemic effects of strategic partnerships between tech giants and AI pioneers.

Inspired by the legacy of decision science pioneer Howard Raiffa, the Academy brings together researchers, policymakers & practitioners to apply systems thinking to today's most complex global challenges. Through professional development, it helps bridge the gap between science and decision making.
