Canadensys selected by ILOA for flagship mission Following Canadensys’ successful design and build of the precursor ILO-X observatory, we are pleased to announce that we have been awarded a contract by the International Lunar Observatory Association to design and build the instrument suite for ILOA’s flagship ILO-1 mission. The ILO-1 is a ground-breaking Observatory which will be deployed near the lunar south pole to image the Galaxy centre, the celestial sky, and the Earth and Moon surface, and to communicate these images back to Earth. The mission is set to begin operations on the Moon in 2027. At its core, Canadensys is a space exploration company. Our FLEX rover can carry people around the lunar surface, but it will also be telerobotically operated from Astrolab's mission control to manage payloads from many different companies on the lunar surface! Our first FLEX-Commercial mission already includes payloads like: 🌌ILO-1, a Moon-based deep space observatory, by @ILOA_Hawaii 💧A demonstration payload that will advance the development of @argolunarwater's unique, scalable technology designed to harvest low-concentration water from Lunar regolith. 🌑A payload by Astroport Space Technologies which will demonstrate a proof of concept for a proprietary sieving and grain separation technology that mitigates electrostatic forces inherent in lunar regolith. 🌖A series of science, exploration and sustainable development experiments focused on the emerging lunar economy by Avalon Space. 🌱Two small plant pods from @InterstellarLA which will measure the impact of the Lunar environment on the plant’s phenotype and molecular composition.

@Mercury34882 It would have been great to be on these missions! IM-2 timeline wasn't a fit for ILOA, IM-3 is going to Reiner Gamma (we are interested in South Pole region), but IM-4 in 2027 is going to back Mons Mouton (great!). CE-7 will be a single WFoV instrument, ILOA has nothing on CE-8

@ILOA_Hawaii @Int_Machines Could not get anything on this one or the upcoming IM-3 ? Shame, your cameras are excellent. Are you also including narrow angle rectilinear cameras too for Chang'e 7? What about Chang'e 8?

@Int_Machines IM-2 Athena lander soft landed on the Moon - a huge accomplishment!! Last year IM-1 lander Odyssey delivered some great images from ILOA's ILO-X instrument. Ad Luna! 📸🌖

Our Lunar Voyage 1 MAPP rover successfully made it to the Moon, collected data from the lunar surface and in transit, and proved MAPP was ready to drive!

@cosmos4u Thanks for the question, our upcoming ILO-C mission on the Chang'E-7 lander is under development. It will also be an optical color camera, but built by a different provider than the one that build ILO-X. So it will be similar and different! Launching around 2026

@ILOA_Hawaii Is it still the plan to send the next ILO to the Moon on one of the next Chang'-e spacecraft? And would it be a copy of ILO-X or something new?
