For decades, Madigan ruled our state through fear, favors, and backroom deals, always putting his power above the people he was elected to serve. “His downfall should serve as a wake-up call. The culture of corruption in Springfield did not begin or end with Mike Madigan. It is up to all of us to demand higher standards, stronger ethics laws, and a government that truly works for the people, not the politically connected. “Illinoisans deserve a system that punishes corruption, not protects it. While Illinois families are getting crushed by inflation, sky-high grocery bills, and rising utility costs, JB Pritzker and Springfield Democrats are pushing a $6 billion tax hike to fund the biggest budget in state history, which has grown by a staggering 36% since Pritzker took office.

A recent poll by the Illinois Policy reveals 54% of Illinois voters identify high taxes as the state’s most pressing issue. Nearly half of those surveyed expressed a desire to move out of Illinois if given the opportunity. The average Illinois household pays $13,099 annually in state and local taxes, accounting for ~16.5% of a family’s income: the highest tax rate in the nation.

Under JB Pritzker, Illinoisans are paying the highest taxes in the nation and suffer through the highest unemployment rate in the Midwest. With that failed record, it's no wonder he distracts with reckless remarks. #chasingheadlines #ILdeservesbetter
