My next stop in Türkiye was an opportunity to meet Türkiye's Minister of Transport & Pakistan's Minister of Maritime Affairs.Reaffirming the importance of keeping shipping safe & secure, we discussed regional cooperation, maritime connectivity & the situation in the Persian Gulf.

From policy this morning to operations this afternoon: a behind-the-scenes visit to the Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre and Coast Guard Headquarters with the teams of Rear Admiral Sergio Liardo working around the clock to support those at sea. #MaritimeSafety

Good discussion with Andreas Motzfeldt Kravik, State Secretary of Norway's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the margins of the Oslo Forum. We talked about #maritimesecurity, particularly the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, and its implications for global shipping.
