The men and women of IMPD are holding the Beech Grove Police Department and the family of Officer Brian Elliott close in our thoughts after this heartbreaking line of duty loss. We are also keeping the injured officer in our prayers as they recover in the hospital. We stand together with you, today and in the difficult days ahead.

With hearts for service and a shovel in hand, IMPD Officers Taylor and Sy helped a citizen after she was snowed in and her caregiver couldn’t reach her. They cleared her driveway and restored access - a moment filled with gratitude and compassion. 💙 This is community policing.

IMPD Detective Gives a Hoot - Rescues Injured Owl 🦉 On his way to court, Detective Rossman spotted an injured owl on the interstate. He and Officer Tillison rescued the little guy and got him safely to Paws, Wings & Other Things Wildlife Rescue. 💙 #TheGreatNorthwest
