📢On 4th August, Forum for National Security Studies (FNSS) & CAPSS conducted the 8th Jasjit Singh Memorial Lecture. 📢AVM Anil Golani (Retd) @AnilGolani, DG CAPSS, delivered the opening remarks. Shri G Parthasarathy (Founder Trustee FNSS & former High Commissioner to Pakistan & Australia) gave his remarks as the Session’s Chair. 📢The lecture was delivered by Dr Ram Madhav @rammadhav_ (President, India Foundation @indfoundation, Renowned Politician, and Author) on “Strategic Autonomy in a Heteropolar World”. 🗒️ Invoking Plato’s idea of philosopher kings, Dr Ram Madhav likened Air Commodore Jasjit Singh to one - who believed in both a country’s military might and its intellectual strength. He emphasised that as a new world order takes shape, clinging to the relics of the old will only corrupt the whole world. He further advocated for institutions to evolve with the times and usher in necessary reforms. Dr Ram Madhav concluded by noting that India’s strategic autonomy today differs from that of the past.

Arushi’s children visited the legendary Longewala post, where in 1971, 120 Indian soldiers defeated 2,000 enemies with courage & strategy. They explored the war museum, learned heroic tales, & enjoyed a meal—all thanks to the Indian Army’s support. #Longewala #Arushi #IndianArmy
