Random guy that's a bit good at chess

I have been seeing a lot of comments from chess fans about Nakamura blaming his team. Clearly, most of them don't understand the gravity of the mistake. The world of seconds has changed dramatically. In the past, mistakes came from checking so many lines with limited time, and if you did not leave the engine running long enough in certain positions, it could give you a completely wrong evaluation. The most famous example is the Kramnik-Leko World Championship match of 2004, the Marshall variation. Today, no such mistakes exist. Therefore, as a second, your job is to predict what your player will be playing. And missing 12…0-0 here is a serious issue. This is a complex position, and as you can see, 12…0-0 shows on my weaker engine (don't pay attention to the 88 CPU) as the third line. As a professional second, you reach this position, and this is what you could call a tabia. You need to check the main lines. Let's say you assume that 0-0 is not a likely human move, you write two moves and commentary, and you leave. BTW, there was already a game. If you miss it entirely, then shame on you. Of course, Hikaru could have kept this private. But he is a public figure with a large following. He needs to explain what happened and why he spent so much time there. Additionally, it was a psychological blow. You play your sharpest line to surprise your opponent, and you have a hole on move 12? I am not even talking about the fact that you are playing against the tournament leader and an extremely sharp player. You will have an extremely difficult time composing yourself and finding the right continuation in this complex position. Hence, spending too much time usually leads to a mistake. With that said, Hikaru's reaction may have been a bit extreme, but not out of reason. Their team messed up big. I don't know who they are, but this is a mistake that should not happen at this level, and they can take some heat.

last season we had a singular person over 2k lp, and they held rank 1,2 and 3 spot. now we have 9 people at or very close to 2k and its been 3 weeks :) is this healthy?
