John Sadak: "Home runs do win games." Barry Larkin: "They also stop rallies."

A question that needs to be debated and AT LEAST considered. This is for all you catching gurus, @MLBNetwork guys, podcasters, coaches, and wouldn’t mind hearing from you pitchers on this subject. Best part of automated strike zone I see is a pitcher might regain a target!

.@elonmusk explains that the best way to teach kids is to help them learn and remember principles and concepts:

Players must train under varying constraints to develop adaptability. If the game presents changing problems, training should prepare them for that reality.

I once heard a great Ichiro story from his first Spring Training in the states. He kept getting jammed and flaring balls the other way. Pinella was loudly voicing his opinion that Ichiro couldn’t hit the fastball in the dugout, assuming he didn’t understand English. Next at bat, Ichiro launches a homer to RF and comes back to the dugout and says in crystal clear English, “Can I go back to getting ready for the season now?” What a legend. Congrats on the HOF

The magic of Major League doesn’t exist without Bob Uecker. His commentary was perfect and no other voice could have filled that role. A legendary commentator whose voice will be missed forever. Rest easy Bob.

Joey Votto preaching 🔥 🔥 Build hitters, not swingers. The best can do anything at anytime Can you control ball flight off tee? Front toss? BP? Machine? Dominate one then move to the next #dodamage
