Q: Why do so many on the Christian right seem obsessed with @jamestalarico?
Journalist: The kind of Christianity he’s espousing is a threat to the cultural monopoly that the GOP wants to project over Christianity. They want to say that they have ownership of Christianity, and for someone like him to stand up and take it back is scary for them. The Christianity I grew up with bears no resemblance to what the GOP and MAGA are putting forward right now.
