🇮🇳 Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, #CNS, visited Eastern Naval Command, Visakhapatnam from 10 – 12 May 26. During the visit, the #CNS reviewed operational, training & administrative activities of the Command, and also undertook a day at sea to review operational aspects of the Eastern Fleet. He interacted with officers and sailors, commending their professionalism and dedication towards safeguarding national maritime interests. As part of the visit, #CNS also engaged with Naval personnel and Defence Civilians during a “Fireside Chat” at Samudrika Auditorium, fostering candid discussions and constructive exchange of ideas towards enhancing operational effectiveness, welfare and motivation. Visit of DRDO scientists to INS Dega 40 DRDO Scientists visited @IN_Dega to familiarise with various aspects of the Indian Navy's aviation arm. They were briefed on several aircraft, their operational capabilities and DRDO's role in enhancing indigenisation in naval aviation. #BERGMAN MYSURU HALF IRONMAN TRIATHLON Demonstrating exceptional endurance and competitive spirit, Commander Pranav Jha of @IN_Dega #IndianNavy secured the Overall 2nd Runner-Up position at the Bergman Mysuru Half Ironman Triathlon held at Mysuru in Feb 26. Responding swiftly as a #FirstResponder and trusted #GlobalSecurityPartner, #IndianNavy launched a Sea King helicopter on #14Feb to evacuate a critically ill Japanese sailor from a #JMSDF ship 200 km from #Visakhapatnam. The patient was safely airlifted to @IN_Dega and shifted to Naval Hospital Kalyani for medical aid. ⚓️ Cmde Rajat Kumar took over Command of INS Dega from Cmde Shivaji Yadav on 09 January 2026. A MiG-29K pilot, Cmde Rajat Kumar assumed charge as the 21st Commanding Officer of the Navy’s premier Air Station, INS Dega at Visakhapatnam on India’s Eastern Seaboard.
