Initially, I didn't know the background of this particular vest. What drew me to it was how it blends two distinct design languages: the front panel, with its nylon material and color scheme, strongly resembles Israel's Ephod series vests, while the rear panel uses mesh fabric and paracord for size adjustment—a construction characteristic of 1980s American-style vests. Later, based on some historical photos I found online, I suspect this vest might have been part of U.S. military aid to El Salvador during the civil war in the 1980s–90s (this is purely my speculation—please correct me if I'm wrong). Additionally, in photos from early 1990s U.S. Army Special Forces CQB training, some Green Berets can also be seen wearing this vest.
