After his surgery, Derek began volunteering for @ProstateUK and served as a patient representative on our research committees for over 10 years.

After running out of licensed treatment options, he joined a Phase 3 abiraterone trial that extended his life and improved his quality of life. It inspired Sue’s passion for research, early diagnosis and better treatment.
