I spotted a claymore a good 10-15m away and tried to clear it. It ended up damaging me at said distance.

@unwornlyric @EndersFPS I’ve been steadily going through each class of weapons getting 50. I have carbines and LMGs done, one more sniper. I play the game. The average battlefield player is just… not very good. So having meaningful progression is one of the ways of keeping them around.

Oh wow, so you can technically "master" a weapon without firing a bullet if you have it equipped and you're just repairing lol. This game is so soft man just reduce the kill requirements for a mastery.
If you want to level a weapon you should have to USE IT, because it's an FPS

There are outliers of highs and lows but, once again, more likely than not this weight is having consequences.

@EndersFPS Laser beam guns and gamepad aim assist along not being able to disable cross play on PC is a gigantic issue in this game.
Google "battlefield aim assist" and it's all tutorials to turn it into basically aim bot in the settings.

Battlefield 6’s gunplay needs more spread so bursting matters again, slight muzzle velocity reductions, and likely more recoil on many weapons.
This would make the game take more skill, so it’s unlikely to happen even if it significantly improves gameplay.

@EndersFPS Agreed, more recoil would help (as long as the randomness involved is reduced, TR7 and the newest AR as examples) and maybe reduce how much AA assists in recoil management. I fear it would increase the already (iirc) decent gap in accuracy between average users of the two inputs.
