IRS BIKE RALLY OFFICERS INTERACT WITH DG ASSAM RIFLES AT LAITKOR Officers of the #IndianRevenueService (IRS), undertaking a long-distance bike rally culminating at Aizawl, Mizoram interacted with the Director General of #AssamRifles at Laitkor Garrison, Shillong on 09 Feb 2026. Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officers participating in the “Guardians of the Gateways 2.0” Bike Expedition, led by Shri Vinayak Azaad, Principal Commissioner of Customs (Preventive), Kolkata, paid a courtesy call on Mizoram Governor General (Dr) Vijay Kumar Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM (Retd), at Lok Bhavan today. The week-long awareness ride, held from February 8 to 14, commenced in Guwahati and covered Shillong, Silchar, Aizawl, and Zokhawthar in Champhai district along the Indo-Myanmar border. The expedition aimed to promote cross-border awareness of Customs laws and regulations across India’s key international frontiers. Blending adventure with advocacy, the initiative sought to strengthen compliance, curb illicit trade, and foster greater collaboration among border security agencies and local communities. @Gen_VKSingh

Republic Day was celebrated with pride and solemnity at National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics, Palasamudram, in the presence of Dr. M. Subramanyam, Principal Director General, NACIN, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Officer Trainees of the 75th and 76th Batches of IRS (Customs & Indirect Taxes) presented a splendid parade, displaying exemplary discipline, synchronisation, and a deep sense of pride. In his address, the Pr. DG underscored that Republic Day is a reminder of the constitutional values of integrity, discipline, and service to the nation. He emphasised that NACIN shapes officers of character as much as competence, and urged the trainees to make the most of their training and prepare themselves to shoulder responsibilities with professionalism and commitment. @cbic_india
