A pleasure to join @SG_OEA_OAS for the opening of the 9th CITEL Assembly. We discussed ways to cooperate on digital inclusion, skilling, youth and AI to strengthen the region’s leadership in digital development.

An honor to meet with President @RodrigoChavesR today with Minister @PauBogantesZ @MICITTcr to discuss Costa Rica's digital vision and opportunities to collaborate with ITU from cyber, to youth to AI skills and more. Congrats to Minister Paula for her election as COM/CITEL Chair!

Work undertaken by the CITEL Assembly will be critical to how the Americas influence global digital governance in the years ahead. The Americas have the experience, credibility and digital talent to shape what comes next. And @ITU looks forward to working with you to get there.

Digital resilience is not only about systems or infrastructure. It is also about people being able to rely on those systems when it matters most. Resilience of our #DigitalLifelines depends on global collaboration.

Connectivity for the common good means bridging every dimension of the digital divide: infrastructure, affordability, skills, security, and resilience, with people at the core. That’s what makes connectivity meaningful and gives technology a purpose we can all get behind.

Multilateralism may be at a crossroads, but when we look to our shared digital future – from the seabed to outer space – the path before us is clear. The only way forward is to continue walking it together. Digital cooperation is the key to ensuring tech benefits all.

Honored to meet His Holiness Leo XIV @Pontifex. Reflections on AI, outer space, the Internet and our shared digital future remind us that technology must always serve humanity, guided by responsibility and the common good.

AI, space, quantum, cybersecurity, resilience, research and the importance of global standards was at the heart of my discussions today in Vienna with the Austrian administration and key partners. Looking forward to continue working together.

Great to catch up with @DGgerdmueller @UNIDO and @rafaelmgrossi @iaeaorg in Vienna today as we work together to strengthen #AIforGood for the benefit of all. Multilateral collaboration and @UN partnerships are essential as technologies evolve.

A real pleasure to meet with Federal Chancellor @_CStocker. Austria’s relationship with the @ITU goes way back to our very beginning in 1865. We look forward to strengthening cooperation to shape our shared digital future.

In today’s digital world: 
Rights must be protected online as well as offline. 
Justice must reach digital spaces. 
Action means closing digital divides, strengthening online trust + safety, and advancing digital skills + opportunity #ForAllWomenAndGirls.
