@DustinDefranco @bryanrbeal Actually, I want high speed rail at 200 mph between cities that are too far to drive but too close to fly. Going to an airport is a hassle dealing with the TSA and all that other bullshit.

This was one of the most logical high-speed rails in the country, and it STILL can’t make money. Nobody wants to ride on trains.

Okay guys, had a few cultural shocks in Spain: > Go to the gym, opens 10am on a Sunday > Go to work from a coworking, closed > Go to a coffee shop, no wifi Absolutely unthinkable in a barely productive economy like the US, yet alone UAE. Europe is a daylight museum.

@bryanrbeal Also the whole Brightline company is a real estate company that owns a train. The money is in the station adjacent real estate.

@bryanrbeal You are missing the point. They are making money. The problem is they owe way too much for the track construction. They need to find a way to restructure the debt. Also highways dont make money and are extremely expensive.

Spirit’s collapse will change the visitor mix at Disney. Fewer budget travelers, fewer spontaneous trips, and less frequent visits. Cheap flights made Disney repeatable for price-sensitive guests/families. It becomes a rarer, more expensive, less accessible experience.

I've had a few folks ask about Waymo's debut in Orlando. So far, it seems more for visitors than those who live here. Literally, the existing service area doesn't even include Orlando City Hall. But you can go from Universal to the convention center.
