United just rolled out its fanciest cabin experience ever: the Polaris Studio. I flew it for 10 hours from San Francisco to London to see if it's worth the $699 upgrade. (Yes, $699 on top of a Polaris fare.) Here's what I found 👇

.@JetBlue is exiting 10 routes, and it's also pulling out of Manchester, NH, per Cirium schedules. Supposedly the EWR and MHT routes haven't been performing well. JetBlue is going big in FLL, JFK, and BOS at the expense of most other focus cities. Will it save the airline?

Earlier this month, United announced it'd start flying FLL-LAX. Guess who's not happy about that? Delta. This week, Delta filed plans to go double-daily on FLL-LAX starting on Oct. 5. JetBlue will still be the only airline offering lie-flats on this route.

I didn't expect this one. @United will operate its Newark to Palermo flight 3x weekly from October to December. Even crazier? It'll be operated by the high-J Boeing 767-300 with 46 Polaris seats. I'm curious to see how this performs.

Here's what that 44-seat first-class cabin looks like. It's no doubt a unique temporary solution that includes an additional oven and FA to serve so many people.

Whoa, look at this. It's a brand-new Delta Airbus A321neo missing the forward cabin. Why? This was where fancy new lie-flat suites were supposed to go. But they aren't certified yet, so Delta installed a 44-seat domestic first-class cabin instead.

.@United is adding service to Sapporo, Japan! It’ll be winter-seasonal, 3x/week from SFO. Operated by a 787-9 Dreamliner (non-Elevated version). First airline to fly to CTS from the continental U.S.

Holy cow. @JetBlue is charging $179 for extra-legroom EvenMore seats between PBI and LGA. That's just for the seat assignment — the fare is "only" $239. Ugh, I miss Spirit.

.@United is now selling basic fares in Premium Plus, with a few twists. First, the buy-up varies by flight (unlike basic Polaris). I’ve seen it as low as $150 and as high as $550. But wait, there’s more.
