@I_DeathSinger_I Tbf the way they're getting into psn accounts with username and game receipts, you can do the same on xbox and even steam.
Its a flaw with account recovery on all platforms if you tell support you forgot your email.

these are comparable but not even in the same ballpark, PS fundamentally has a MASSIVE ass issue in security and this comes on the back end of raising PSN prices which are supposed to protect you

Social engineering isn't new and other companies get targeted too. What's worse with Sony: all you need is a purchase order number and a PSN to hijack an account.
Many companies even block recovery if you have 2FA or passkeys—Sony seems to just trust whoever calls and hands over your PlayStation account to them.
