Hell is Us has surprised me with its gameplay. I met this injured soldier with blood in his eyes who mistook me for a fellow soldier. in exchange for a med kit, he’d give me a key to get me to the next area. zero hand holding, elevated. no quest markers, just paying attention to the world, solving an image based puzzle, and opening the path forward yourself. the game really trusts you to observe and connect the dots.

I wanted a NON gamers view on DLSS 5 changes to Grace from Resident Evil Requiem, so asked my wife to give me a breakdown of changes she thought could've made the difference. Her answers surprised me. +Lip lift surgery and/or possibly added lipstick. +Hair either no longer naturally blond, or not dyed as close to the roots. +Possible added mascara. +Face contouring with either make-up or possible buccal fat removal surgery. +Greater definition and contours around eyes and below the eyebags. I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what some of the things she mentioned even were, so did some research, and I can totally see it lol. I've attached images to show as much. I asked her whether she thinks lighting alone could result in such a difference, and it was a stern no. That the differences were so stark, it almost looked like a different person. In any case, I thought her answers were interesting, and do hint at the DLSS 5 algorithm glamourising Grace to a degree, which would explain why the new look closely matches the aesthetic common with AI slop filters, often used for social media etc.
