One of the smartest design choices Pokémon TCG has ever made was giving the shiny versions the exact same artwork as their original Special Illustration Rares. Instead of creating completely different cards, the shiny Pokémon became the focus while preserving the composition that collectors already loved. It made displaying both cards side by side incredibly satisfying. It's a brilliant concept, and honestly, I'd be surprised if we ever see Pokémon TCG do something like this again.

@B_Sommermann Disagree; no reason to believe Martone is not going to get offer sheeted at this point. The only to g dive by the flyers this offseason is resign themselves to another mid-season.

The Flyers now have Zegras $9.125, Konecny $8.75, Foerster $7.1, Tippett $6.2, Dvorak $5.15, Drysdale $6.5, Sanheim $6.25, York $5.15, and Vladar $5.5 all signed thru 2029-30. Together, they count for a total of $59.725. Those 5 forwards, 3 defenseman, & starting goalie are the Flyers base. Danny Briere has given himself the cap space to not only protect the young players in Matvei Michkov & Porter Martone, but also still having a good chunk of space to spend big on a high priced free agent if he so chooses too 🤔
